ImprovActing.Com was created by Robert Hugh Brown, an actor and writer who has performed professionally in hundreds of improv comedy and comedy murder mystery shows, mostly with On The Edge Impovisional Theatre in South Florida.
On The Edge mysteries ran for five years on The Seminole Gulf Railroad dinner train; other venues invaded by the group include Thistle Lodge at Casa Ybel Resort, the FunKruz cruise ship, Tri-rail, Central Florida Dinner Train, and various other theaters, restaurants, and country clubs.
More recently, he has been working with oCalico Entertainment in Ocala and then Orlando, Florida, doing murder mysteries at various venues in the North Central Florida area.
Robert currently performs improv comedy with Second Thought Improv in Ocala, and earlier worked with "Yes...But!" at the Acrosstown Repertory Theatre in Gainesville, Florida, and has also acted at The Gainesville Community Playhouse, Ocala Civic Theatre, Pelican Theater Company, Old Schoolhouse Theater, and elsewhere.
He also directed the Acrosstown Repertory Theatre's production of Neil Simon's Last of the Red Hot Lovers and shot himself on The Discovery Health Channel's Dr. G: Medical Examiner.
Robert scripted six On The Edge Shows (Murder on the Seminole Gulf Express I and II, Politics Can Be Murder, The Dying Old Man on the Flying Trapeze, Edison's Lost Invention, Stars and Stripes For Murder) in whole or in part. His other writings have appeared in publications as diverse as Plays Magazine and Amazing Stories.
